In this aspect, wide bandgap semiconductors (WBGS) have in recent years garnered significant attention for being a better alternative to Silicon (Si) for various power electronics applications due to its intrinsic material properties. The demand of WBGS based power electronic devices such as diodes, MOSFETs, IGBTs, and SiP modules for various applications is thus on the rise.
Capitalizing on this trend, Visicon Power Electronics Pvt ltd makes its foray in developing the WBGS capability starting with SiC ecosystem for power devices in India. Diodes
Visicon’s SiC diodes offered in conventional packages are an easy replacement for the traditional Si diodes. Offering industry best thermal efficiency and faster operating frequency, Visicon’s SiC diodes provide excellent switching characteristics making them ideal for industrial and renewable energy applications.

MOSFETs
Visicon’s SiC MOSFETs overcome the inefficiencies in Si MOSFETs namely switching losses and increases in ON resistance. Apart from faster switching and better thermal performance, Visicon’s SiC MOSFETs feature very low ON resistance making them most suited for EV, solar power, and industrial power supplies applications.
